Second-born Aelin was much like her father in both appearance and in rock-shaping
ability. She and her close friend Solarn were
affectionately referred to as the 'twain' by the Firstcomers, for both
were nearly inseparable, and both, unlike Aerva,
were eager to learn magic, and to listen to stories of the High Ones'
past. Aelin was the first 'born-here' to Recognize a Firstcomer, Soriaythek.
Ironically, the only two other 'born-heres' who did the same were her
siblings. Aelin died in the ambush that ultimately led to her brother
taking the leadership from Var. |
