"Shadowcurl"

Black-haired Solarn, affectionately known as "Shadowcurl," was a close friend of Aelin, forming a partnership that, at least in their childhood, seemed to have the major goal of being a thorn in slightly-older Aerva's side. A precocious plant-shaper, Solarn was a fervent believer in the Firstcomer's dream of one day returning to the Palace and the stars. Though she rarely agreed with her sister on anything, the two did eventually evolve an affectionate relationship. Alas for her dreams, she died fighting to protect her younger son.
